Correct Alignment of Anaglyph images comes from the precise adjustment of the initial stereoscopic pairs, the left and right eye images must be aligned horizontaly to effect the clear and sharp 3D Anaglyph result desired. In order to get the best and most sharp 3D anaglyph from your stereoscopic pairs, you need to open the two images in a paint program, preferrably an image manipulation software that allows you to overlay a semi transparent image on top of another. Open the Left Image of the stereo pair, then open the right, copy the right image, then close it, paste the right image over the left, and adjust the transparency of the overlay to 50% (Fifty Percent) you will see a blurry mesh of the two images on your screen. Near the focal point of the scene, or the middle ground between the camera and the furthest featured object in the scene (Not the Horizon) drag the overlaid (Right Image) to bring the focal object close to where the underlying left image of the same object matches position. The objects in the scene that are in the foreground, and in the background will remain separated, and blurry at this point, That's Fine... Now adjust the transparency back to Zero so the right image is the only one now visible, Combine all objects of the merged images as one, and save as the right image only. The original Left image is safely saved as the Left Image, but the new adjusted right image is aligned to create a sharp 3D Anaglyph when the Two (Left and Right) Images are combined in an Anaglyph making software as available for free through the pages on this site. The resulting photographic Anaglyph from using this technique will be the sharpest, and most clear 3D Anaglyph that you'll see anywhere. You may have noticed on other Stereoscopic images available on the internet, that the alignment is way out, and causes the 3D depth to be terrible, and the image as a whole to painful to view.
